FACES for pelvic health

I’ve been reading a great book “Science for Sexual Happiness” by Caffyn Jesse. It combines a lot of the education around the role of the nervous system and trauma, and practical advice on how to incorporate that into your life to create a more vibrant sex life.

In it, she references Daniel Siegel’s acronym “FACES” to describe the state of integration in which more sexual energy can flow. I thought the acronym was great:

Flexible

Adaptive

Coherent

Energized/energy flows

Stable

We can use FACES to think about the flow of energy between rigidity and chaos. Reading those words, what do you notice in your own body? Does any part of FACES feel more or less accessible? How can you attune more to that part that is accessible, and gently use your attention to amplify what is already available to you?
